Package: installation-reports
Version: testing 2005-06-2
Severity: important

Debian-installer-version: 2005-06-02
Installer url:
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/20050602/debian-testing-i386-businesscard.iso

Problems:

The machine has a Sil3112 SATA controller onboard. The installer detects the
controller but stops at '91%' when trying to detect the controlled
discs. dmesg in another terminal indicates that the driver fails to read the
disc superblock. This is not due to a faulty disc - and this problem has
manifested itself before. See: http://tinyurl.com/ctspq

Below are various diagnostics. Ironically these were gathered via installation
of Ubuntu 5.04 'Hoary Hedgehog' which did detect and handle the disc
correctly.
