i think i mentioned that i installed to an empty pc

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/lenny_di_beta2/i386/iso-cd/debian-LennyBeta2-i386-netinst.iso

and got the error message when debian rebooted after installation. what
more info could i give?

i have read the thread and it claims that the problem is fixed which is
not the case.

i agree that it is harmless, but high quality debian distribution should
produce any error messages, when i install debian to an empty host.
what you propose as a fix makes sense. another solution might be not to
include libselinux1 package at all in base debian installation, since my
pc seems to work fine without the missing directory.
