Hi Wolfi, as tested with you, the solution are the special german chars in the path or the filename. Copying the files to a ~/test dir does the job.
In my opinion this is not beautiful, but the bug itself has a workaround. Bug for debian should be closed and opened in inkscape itself. Bye bye and THX. Wolfgang
