Not really - newer packages are built against other newer packages which may
pull in more than you'd like.

At http://www.xinara.org/~ray/tmp/516645-test/ I've put a quick and dirty
backport of sid's current gnumeric package and the newer libgsf and goffice
packages it requires.

With 1.9.4, they all give #VALUE! errors.

There may well be an easier way, but I'm no expert on spreadsheet function
use. You may want to get input on the upstream gnumeric mailing list, or on
GIMPnet #gnumeric.
