Package: gpm
Version: 1.20.4-3.1
Severity: minor

In the syslog I see messages like:
/usr/sbin/gpm[3519]: Request on 8 (console 10)

I tried to understand what this meant (and if this indicated a
problem) but failed. I use logcheck and by default these messages are
not filtered out.

If these messages are harmless (looks like, I haven't experienced any
problems) then a logcheck rule should be written (and until this
happens, this bug could be considered wishlist -- though in that case
I could provide a patch). If they are not harmless, then this message
should be documented (e.g. in README.gz) to give the sysadmin an idea
what to look out for/tune etc.
