I believe ide-generic being builtin would not cause trouble for yaird, based on my general understanding of yaird logic and the following note in /usr/lib/yaird/perl/ModProbe.pm, lines 23-24: > # - if we know a module is compiled into the kernel, > # don't attempt to load it, and don't complain. Wether or not building and loading ide-generic on powerpc causes trouble is another issue. I have not experienced problems doing so on my own powerpc-based machines in the past, but do not have VIA-based IDE hardware attached to those, and naturally have not tested all possible cases. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ - Enden er nær: http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm
