I am wondering what the status of this bug is. It seems to me that currently there are no viable option to choose from, because getting the changes resulting from a decision into jessie seems to run counter the freeze policy. Either a decision is made and implemented within less than half a day or there needs to be a convincing argument why this is release critical. Neither of which seem likely to me. What options are left?
