dpkg + something to handle package splits/merges a bit more sanely. netbase split to XXX packages php4-cgi-gd and php4-gd merges. How to handle upgrade of php4-cgi-gd to php4-gd? or some kind of a "dummy" package, which installes and after install it auto-magicaly dissappears. Petr Cech
