The only thing I'd modify is the 50 users thingy - drop that, because - as Ingo says - it's hard to tell, on the assumption that if there are enough Debian *and* upstream people to maintain kernel, toolchain, libc, boot-loader and Debian installer (d-i or other), there is enough justification for the port. So 'm68k is having difficulty showing 50 users' becomes 'will m68k get a working gcc4 within a reasonable timeframe' which is easier to demonstrate. (I'm *not* just bashing m68k here. There are other arches where gcc4 ICEs, too, and there was quite a bit discussion about non-working kernels on certain SPARC variants IIRC.) That said, I can live with the 50 users idea. cheers -- vbi -- featured link: http://fortytwo.ch/smtp
