The usual reason to have such a split is that one package is architecture-dependent, and the other is architecture-independent. When arch-indep data is split out, this conserves space on mirrors (the same stuff doesn't get repeated into a dozen arch-dep packages). In this particular case, the split sounds like an overkill. wmakerconf is 320k, and wmakerconf-data is 50k. -- 2.
