But I would STRONGLY advise against starting a new doc project based on debiandoc. In a nutshell, debiandoc-sgml doesn't (IMO) possess sufficient complexity to represent the kind of info you're talking about. Furthermore, the docbook --> debiandoc conversion can easily be done, but the reverse (one to many) would create many headaches. If my $0.02 mean anything, I'd suggest you convert the original docs to docbook-xml. It'll save much effort in the long run.
