OK, step achieved. I'll commit the appropriate entries in languagechooser repository. We can now go to the next step which is "Enter the D-I team"...:-) (considering that the "prepare yourself to translation", which is basically get the translator(s) OK with gettext, is already done here) Our doc says: Be aware that involving yourself into D-I translation is not a <emphasis>one-time</emphasis> work. The Debian Installer is always work in progress and your translations may require some attention or some new work from time to time even after you completed it. When you start working on translations, please announce this in the <email>&email-debian-boot-list;</email> mailing list and get in touch with the D-I localisation coordinator. You will then be listed as a translator in your language and thus will get, by private mail, important general announcements by the i18n coordinator. So, what we need here is mostly what I would call a "coordinator of the installer l10n effort to Esperanto". Not necessarily the one who will do the job (after all, you have proven to already exist as a community if not a team), but mostly the one who will be our main contact (by "our" here, I mean Dennis Stampfer and myself as D-I i18n coordinators) Several people have been active in this thread...so you have to decide who to put at the top of the list. Of course, I'll also record this mailing list as the "team's contact" (unless there is some objection...as the list itself does not only defines self as a localisation list only). This coordinator will also be granted commit access to D-I repository, which means that he/she has to become a bit more aware of the work method we use than ther translators (ie read the doc....:-))). Handling commits themselves is not a huge deal and does not require deep technical knowledge, only basic CVS or SVN knowledge (and we a re here to help anyway). The coordinator is "required" to follow debian-i18n which is now our main communication channel. (s)He is also encouraged to subscribe to debian-boot, even if (s)he does not follow all threads here. t has been proven that people who follow (even by far) D-I development are far more efficient in the l10n coordination job.
