I am using the packages from : http://people.debian.org/~erich/galeon2/ ... And they are pretty unstable right now (compared to the 1.0 (gtk1) packages in unstable).. Galeon is not usable at all (multiple tabs cause a crash for me)... But, I think having packages in unstable *is* a good idea, but please do not promote them as production quality...
