Problem: I would like Debian to be accepted as a solution for corporate desktop environments. For that to happen, either stable has to have a good desktop, or the 'unofficial backports' become reasonably official pools of packages to support stable. Or perhaps something else, but these are the two methods that seem to make sense to me. For techo user desktops (like yours and mine, probably), it's a different story. But I would like to see Debian making bigger wins. :-) - Jeff -- linux.conf.au 2004: Adelaide, Australia http://lca2004.linux.org.au/ "Have you ever kissed a girl?" - Bryan Cantrill to Dave Miller
