Hi, > output is attached.
Thanks. Very enlightening. The drive does not like commands GET CONFIGURATION and READ DISC INFORMATION, but does READ TOC/PMA/ATIP in order to get a CD-like table-of-content. It refuses to deliver a Mode Page 5, which would tell its current write configuration. Plausible as it cannot write. libburn can handle this quite well, but xorriso as its client is not satisfied by the lack of information. It cannot distinguish whether the loaded medium is CD or DVD. Well, libburn cannot do much more with a DVD-ROM drive other than inquiring the readable size and reading data. It would be interesting to know whether this xorriso run can be performed successfully: xorriso -indev /dev/sr0 -check_media -- Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
