Something like that, yes. I, and I know more like me, actually get offended if you call me the equivalent of "Sie". If you want to be *really* polite, you can capitalise the first letter - "Du" - but in a normal computer program there's definitely no need to do that. Sometimes we drop "you" completely and use the equivalent of "one", or just drop the pronoun altogether. Computers aren't supposed to be polite, anyway. They're just dumb machines. That's also why we drop "please" in Swedish translations. "Please enter your name" usually reduces to the equivalent of "Enter name". Even though I'm quite fluent in English, I still prefer my software to speak the same language as I do, because it's one less thing I have to think about when using the computer.
