Just a follow up: I noticed tonight that my dual monitor setup was also broken (I mostly use the second monitor only when I ssh and/or vnc to other computers, and therefore I didn't notice this problem before). I don't use Xinerama, just run the monitors independently of each others. With the security upgraded version installed i only got the infamous grey raw X "background" in the second monitor -no KDE menu, no background, no nothing. Reverting to: ii kdelibs3 2.2.2-13.woody.7 got my system back to it's normal state. Tomas
