Not really. Why can't a hypothetical person believe that we should provide free stuff in main, and non-free stuff in non-free? Perhaps such a person understands the some people only want free stuff; perhaps such a person understands that some people want not have to worry about all kinds of weird restrictions on main; etc.

What's so weird about wanting to categorize software by license?

Why is it so interesting that there are opinions between "non-free in main" and "kill non-free"?
