I downloaded debian-live-testing-amd64-lxde.iso from 2019-06-17 and cp-ed it onto a USB stick and booted into the live system options successfully on 2 machines I have here: 1) Toshiba laptop with i3-3110M CPU, in legacy boot mode, 2) Dell desktop tower with i5-6500 CPU, in UEFI "non-secure" boot mode. Both came immediately to the splash screen and waited for me to choose, then happily entered the live system when selected.
