The BSD-2-clause disclaimer has to be imported by upstream before we can import it in Debian. When that is done please add the complete license in d/copyright and reference the upstream commit in the patch.
If the BSD-2-clause files are copyied from 3rd parties, you can obviously link to them as license reference instead without waiting for upstream.
