Can you add your user to lpadmin, and retry ?
I must say your quite short sentences don't make it easy to follow what you
are trying to do.
Click on printer > a lot of printers but no samsung.
I suspect this is not related to printer drivers, but to avahi not being
installed. Can you make sure avahi-daemon is installed ? [0]

[0] It is "recommended" by cups, so should have been installed by default.
P.S. No need to CC me I'm subscribed; are you?
Good day Odyx,
Success at last.
First..thanks for staying with me to solve this.
Sorry for the short sentences. In the past I had some people not liking
much writing.
I am subscribed to debian-printing. Your email did not bring up option
"reply-to-list".
Added myself to "lpadmin" as per instruction on a website,
All worked as expected.
Now..what happened to the auto install when you switch on the printer?
(this happens with some OS'ses lately)
Still in the pipeline?
May this be a good day.
Regards
JohanS
