You can, just distribute the stuff out (standard Boole algebra): Depends: python2.3 | python2.2, python2.2-xmlbase | python2.3, python-textwrap | python2.3, python-roman It looks ugly as hell, though, and I'll have to check whether it really does the right thing when you have python2.2 installed and pull in python-docutils.
