Package: tla
Version: 1.0.6+1.1-candidate0-1
Severity: normal

This is just plain weird.

Anyway, I have an DAV directory with digest based authentication.

I had no problems creating or accessing DAV based archives with tla
1.0.6-3 (downgraded to double check).

With 1.0.6+1.1-candidate0-1, I had no problems accessing my existing
archive:
[email protected] http://user:password@hostname/arch/debian
apache said all requests where authenticated, too.

The problem came when using the "make-archive" command to create
a new archive:

tla make-archive [email protected]
http://user:password@hostname/arch/2004

The new tla complains:

webdav error: 401 Authorization required.

The apache log has:

==> /var/log/apache2/access.log <==
203.12.237.100 - - [18/Dec/2003:10:01:15 +1100] "OPTIONS /arch/ HTTP/1.1" 401

The old tla given exactly the same command line (hence exactly the same
password) and exactly the same apache environment worked; the apache log
was:

203.12.237.100 - - [18/Dec/2003:10:04:54 +1100] "OPTIONS /arch/ HTTP/1.1" 401

/arch/2004/.archive-version HTTP/1.1" 201 300 "-" "arch-client/0.1 neon/0.19.0"

Is there anything else I can specify that would help debug this problem?

It would appear that the "make-archive" command is somehow currupting my
password.
