I have a 486 with 8mb of RAM. I installed slink on it last year, and upgraded to potato this year. The upgrade was fine with 8mb, but I wasn't able to do a clean install with 8mb. I tried a couple of different boot disks, but didn't find one usable, so I went with the upgrade. Can your machine see the 1279Mb disk? I suspect it will only see 512mb or something like that. Hope that helps. -- Thank you, Joe Bouchard Powered by Debian GNU/Linux
