hi,
I run a woody box with a matrox g400, PIII450, 256MB
everything generally works perfectly, unless, under X, I don't touch the
mouse for 5 minutes or so. At this point X leaps to 99% cpu usage, and stays
that way until i move the mouse again (mouse uses IMPS/2 protocol, but this
isn't a protocol or gpm problem) this process was XF86_SVGA until i recently
installed matrox's own driver support, so the 99% process is now Xfree86,
this problem is particularly troublesome with programs that run their own
mouse over X (id's wolfenstein demo) since this detects no mouse movement and
grinds to a halt after 5 minutes.
If anybody knows what my problem is, please help

thanks in advance
Matt Collier

ps. i'm not subscribed to this list, so could any replies please cc me?
