Note what it says ---------------------> ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ....and now read 'man xauth'. xhost will only allow you to enable / disable access control. If access control is enabled (as is your case), you will need to use xauth to authorize clients. Regards, Jor-el
