What does it mean you can not read them but they are mounted??? If they are mounted you can read at the point where they are mounted! you probably need to execute mdrun? or if knoppix has done this already and you have /dev/md* you probably have LVM installed on top, so may be you have to run the volume groups If you are not familiar with the rescue procedures you probably read about it first.
