I did this once years ago, used a Debian machine with 5 nics as a switch between multiple network segments to reduce broadcast storms and generally improve network performance. I do not have the exact instructions now, I think it was on tldp.org that I found it. Google for "linux bridge". This site http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/networking/bridgelooks like what I did way back when. HTH William
