Just borrow (or buy) some cheap nail polish in a random color and use it to mark either the charge only or charge and data cables. Ignore this: I recently tried to buy some black nail polish (to put some markings on white / light colored sneakers), there are places and flea markets that sell unsold bottles for $1 or less. Bought a bottle that was all black, assuming (you know what that does) the content would be black. Note, it's pink. :-(
