From the bug reports you mention, I understand -perhaps totally wrongly- that TTY info being not transmitted by SSH can harm wall execution?
Therefore, is there a possibility that in your Archlinux system SSH is invoked with a -t option or a RequestTTY option in ssh_config, while in your Debian Trixie system, it is not?
