Sure does. Googles own report details that. In 2025 they contracted new,
green power suppliers in total capacity of 12 GW. That's same as 12
standard-sized nuclear power plants.

They also financed decarbonisation efforts that will remove ~17.2 million
tonnes of CO2 equivalent from the air for those 14.5 millions of tonns of
CO2 equivalent that Googles operations caused (80% in Google suppliers and
transport logistics, zero in the actual data centers).

There is a LOT of truly evil companies in the world. You can bash on xAI
all you want and I will join you in that. But some companies (and I do
believe Google is among them) do actually pay for their externalized costs.
And they aim to do better. Pulling out qoutes on *how* they can do better
in the future and bashing them over the head how they are *not* doing so
now is more than unfair.
