Kinda on the same subject, does anyone know if CDONTS has any problems with bad headers? I use this for all of my ASP based apps. I also recently found out that many new implimentations of PERL, including PERL for Win32, now come with a SMTP module to use instead of using an external app, and I was going to encourage clients insisting on PERL CGI to use the module, which is preferred to using an external app. My web hosting server is whitelisted for my mail server, but if mail were to go external, I'd hate for it to be malformed.

There's also a "BADHEADERS lookup" page at http://www.declude.com/tools that will give you an idea of the problem. In the case of ASPMail, there is at least one older version that had a broken Date: header, but it has been fixed for recent versions. Specifically, version 3.02 has the broken Date: header, but version "4.0 4.0.3" is OK. You could whitelist E-mail using ASPMail ("WHITELIST ANYWHERE AspMail"), but that could allow extra spam through.
