That's correct.
If you just forward the spam to them, your mailserver will get
listed. They only list the mailserver that connects to theirs, so there
can be no possibility of forged headers and the like.
Of course, as someone else mentioned, there is still the possibility of a
legitimate user of the mailserver sending the specially-formatted E-mail
through (such as a Hotmail user intentionally getting a Hotmail mailserver
blocked). That is something that will likely need to be addressed somehow.
