Why would you ever what to open log files that large anyway?  Even from the
server with something like TextPad, it would take a look time to open.  If
you are looking for something specific, then parse the log for that data,
not open the whole log file to find it (let me tell you, parsing the log
file is much faster than trying to open the file first).
