Now, I don't want you to hold my hand, but is there some documentation somewhere that explains exactly how to use the grep, awk, and sort commands. I noticed with the unxutils there are no man pages. Is there a way to get these man pages??

The above URL should help you. I suppose some switches might be different, but probably they are all the same. (Some commands differ from platform to platform... like from OS X to BSD to Linux to Solaris and such...)
