We had inbound rules ( all the same ) for all the users in every domain. With experimenting, we discovered that if we delete ALL the inbound rules then their pdf and doc files arrive safely. I think it had to do with that Knowledge Base article that said to add a line in the rules regarding .scr & .pif files to keep a particular virus out.
Ironically, when I deleted all the inbound rules, one domain admin reported to me that he stopped getting all the really trashy email as well. We are upgrading to imail 8.0 soon - we have it installed on a test server and will turn it inside out before it's deployed to our users. Thanks for the help. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Matthew Bramble Sent: Wednesday, October 01, 2003 4:15 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Declude.JunkMail] attachment question This is likely a configuration on in Outlook or Outlook Express. With the latest versions, they block the ability to open certain types of attachments, but the attachments are actually delivered with the messages. On the client computer's mail program, go into Tools > Options > Security and uncheck "do not allow attachments..." That should do the trick.
