I have been following a couple of conversations on this issue for the last
couple of weeks, but (to my knowledge) the primary question remains
unanswered.

If I have one IP-ful domain (the primary domain of the mail server,
taisweb.net), and many "virtual" hosts, do I need an SPF record for all the
domains, or just for taisweb.net? This boils down (AFAIK, correct me if I
am wrong) to the previously asked question "Does Imail HELO with the virtual
domain name or with the primary domain name?"

I was reading some conflicting information on the archives and in the
aforementioned conversations. How can I tell for sure what Imail is sending
as its HELO?

If it does HELO with the virtual domain names, could I set a custom HELO
message in the Advanced tab of the SMTP service in Imail Admin with
mail.taisweb.net in it and would that then cause all SPF lookups to go to
the taisweb.net domain?
