I am logged onto my Imail server in my server farm in my domain and running the query from there. The DC making a LDAP query against is at the client location and is part of the client domain. The error message is what is recorded in the Security event log of the DC of the client domain that the query is being made against. The DC is a Windows 2003 server and the domain is in Windows 2003 native mode, whereas the other exchange2aliases I have run against another client is a Windows server 2000 and the domain is in Windows 2000 native mode. That one worked fine.
