Further  to  Markus'  question, what MTA platform are you using on the
MX/outbound  box?  Are  you authenticating against the exact same back
end  userbase  as the mailbox server, or batch-replicating the mailbox
credentials  to  the  MX/outbound, or even using different credentials
entirely?
