Last I knew, if you had a valid service contract, you could upgrade to 8 or buy additional licenses. They were not open to new Imail customers because they were not making enough profit on an ISP-only product. At least that's what they told me when I asked the same question a few months ago.

A number of users here have switched to SmarterMail. I tried it out and liked it a lot, but it was missing a few significant features that make it easier for me to stay with Imail 8, at least for now. A new version (3.0) is coming out shortly that should solve some of these issues.

Has ipswitch stopped selling their mail server as a standalone unit? All I can find on their site is the Suit.
