Didn't Ipswitch tell the list that they would be selling the standalone
IMail again later this year? I'm looking forward to SmarterMail 3.0 finally
having SMTP AUTH integration capabilities as well, though.

Hi Travis-

Last I knew, if you had a valid service contract, you could upgrade to 8 or
buy additional licenses. They were not open to new Imail customers because
they were not making enough profit on an ISP-only product. At least that's
what they told me when I asked the same question a few months ago.

A number of users here have switched to SmarterMail. I tried it out and
liked it a lot, but it was missing a few significant features that make it
easier for me to stay with Imail 8, at least for now. A new version (3.0) is
coming out shortly that should solve some of these issues.
