An Ipswitch developer posted to the IMail
list a couple of weeks ago that they had tested and it worked fine in Firefox on
Mac. Safari and others browsers on Mac did not work at time of posting and
would be added later.

Darin, are you sure? In their documentation they explicitly state Windows
only.
"Firefox 1.0.6 for
Microsoft Windows"
Also, from what I read,
you are going to have to use a singe ip for all webmail vs. the
current webmail sharing the ip of each domain. Boy, this is going to be a
juggling act to get all my domain users to change where they access their mail
from.

Regardless of any word, anyone that jumps on board a totally
new release right after it is made available is asking for
trouble. I have seen several instances over the years where
Declude had issues with minor changes made in IMail. Some of
these things didn't rear their heads until weeks or even months after the
release as not everyone pays sufficient enough attention to catch some of
the issues that occurred. It is always best to wait.
Another note
on IMail 2006. While they are making huge strides with the new
Web mail client, they reportedly currently lack sufficient support for
almost all Mac Web clients and therefore anyone with Mac users will
probably want to wait until patches are made before even attempting
the upgrade. While many of us already realize this will be the
case, I can almost certainly assure you that there will be an outcry on the
IMail list after some time passes where admins are complaining about the
lack of full Mac support. IMail knows about the deficiency, but
it appears that their plans are to release with it being Mac deficient and
then subsequently go back and fix the incompatibilities. Maybe
they have changed their minds? I still wouldn't touch it for at
least a month.
