Well on the same overview,

We are still running 2.0.6 due to the fact that declude confirm has not
been integrated into the new release.
An other show stopper for us is the fact that the new web interface
support only english at the moment. Since many of our customers are
French talking, it's kind of odd to remove a feature we got for years...

All true. I'm probably about 45 days away from having the time to look
at
these upgrades, but while my iMail is up to date (8.21), I'm still
running
1.82 on Declude. I want to upgrade, since the latest version seems
stable,
as well as add virus checking, but I would really prefer to upgrade all
at
once just so I don't drag it out. An official post from Declude would go
a
long way. Especially with, as Matt noted, the number of issues in the
past
where iMail broke Declude.

Totally agree with you Matt but some feedback from Declude would be
nice. I
know john T said a couple of weeks ago that Declude was working with a
beta
2006 so how is that going Declude?

Regardless of any word, anyone that jumps on board a totally new release
right after it is made available is asking for trouble. I have seen
several
instances over the years where Declude had issues with minor changes
made in
IMail. Some of these things didn't rear their heads until weeks or even
months after the release as not everyone pays sufficient enough
attention to
catch some of the issues that occurred.
It is always best to wait.

Another note on IMail 2006. While they are making huge strides with the
new
Web mail client, they reportedly currently lack sufficient support for
almost all Mac Web clients and therefore anyone with Mac users will
probably
want to wait until patches are made before even attempting the upgrade.
While many of us already realize this will be the case, I can almost
certainly assure you that there will be an outcry on the IMail list
after
some time passes where admins are complaining about the lack of full Mac
support. IMail knows about the deficiency, but it appears that their
plans
are to release with it being Mac deficient and then subsequently go back
and
fix the incompatibilities. Maybe they have changed their minds? I
still
wouldn't touch it for at least a month.
