Since the Declude part of the setup accounts for more than 90% of the
utilization, you aren't likely to notice a difference on a heavily
trafficked machine. There is however no doubt that SmarterMail is
leaner. One of IMail's biggest dogs was their webmail, however in the
latest versions, they use IIS just like SmarterMail does.
If I was comparing the two solutions, I would suggest focusing more so
on functionality; all the way down to the nitty gritty.
If you are looking to save CPU as your main goal, I have consistantly
been able to find ways to steal it back from my Declude setup by being
more efficient about the things that I do. Some things like running AV
after JM can save noticeably.

Does anyone have any direct comparison of CPU usage from a real world
installation between Imail 8.15 and SM 3.x running
Declude/FProt/Sniffer/InvURIBL?
