This exploration is more about the fact that we are about to change
our servers. I would not entertain a change if it weren't for
that. We are now at a cross-road where we have a choice of upgrading
iMail 7.07 and renewing our maintenance agreement with Declude or
entertaining a different solution that provides some features that
are missing from current solution or are not well implemented and
trying to satisfy some feature requests from clients. Not two
products are ever the same so we recognize that we may sacrifice some
features we have become accustomed to while gaining some we think we need.
I suspect if upgrade/annual maintenance agreement costs were not as
high as they are we might not be seriously looking at an option that
is close to a wash in pricing.
I am not going to get into all of this on this list as I don't think
it is appropriate here. I do want to thank those who offered their
experience off list.

What are your major points of dissatisfaction with IMail? What are the
advanced features that you enjoy with IMail but whose universality may
be in question?
What are the goals of this project?
You can't compare products in some hazy way -- you have to have a
specification in mind.
