In testing the format is actually
mmddyyyy
and not

Well, actually the MOST sense would be yyyymmdd, since it would result in
SORT order. Or ddmmyyyy (in order of "magnitude").
MMDDYYYY is s pretty non-sensical format (I know it's the common U.S.
format, but it doesn't make sense to force that jumbled up order onto the
rest of the world).
It would be like trying to impose the weird multipliers of the imperial UOM
on the rest of the world. :-)

Has anyone tried this option yet?
DEC ADD Can use #### for 4 digit year on log file names in the
format ddmmyyyy
IS the format really "ddmmyyyy" - it seems like it would make more sense
if the format was actually "mmddyyyy"?
Especially since the regular format of "dec####.log" right now is "mmdd".
I was about to test it until I realized today is 0404.... Might have to
wait until tomorrow to verify unless someone has already tried it.
