Actually, it does matter. You ask about what we use for e-mail security,
and you ask what factors we would consider when purchasing an
e-mail-security program. But what *is* such a program? To me, e-mail
security means using a secure connection to my e-mail provider's IMAP
server, or using PGP to secure the contents of the messages I send.
