Erm, in all the cases you mention, I think you meant to say FORWARD
slashes ('/'), the C-sequence languages use '/*..*/' for multi-line
comments and C++ and C# (and 32-bit Delphi) also use '//' for end of
line comments.
Even being a Delphi fanatic myself, I'd still have to say that the
forward slash is slightly easier to type, not requiring use of the shift
key; unlike either curly braces or parentheses.
