I SAID "attack anyone on the list", a private individual. One of the perquisites of our system of government (which the Supreme Court has explicitly defended in reference to politicians suing for slander/libel) is the right of US citizens to criticize public figures (which Bush certainly is) for their actions or perceived intentions; so that's an entirely different situation. Now, you may disagree with Alan and may feel that G.W. has been totally honest and forthcoming in all his dealings with the American public; but I hope you'll grant others the option of holding a different opinion of that situation without belittling them for holding it. If you disagree, say that and offer contrary evidence; simply attacking the character or person of someone holding a reasoned opinion is the lowest form of argumentation, IMO. > I can only say I disagree with Alan, not no much with his opinion on the > current American foreign policy, but to me this is completely off-topic and > it really has nothing to do with the current state Delphi is in. I think he was attempting to draw comparisons between the US's current economic "woes" (YMMV on whether we're in a woeful state, I happen to think we are) and what's happening at Borland. Perhaps not as "on topic" as how to use TValueListEditor, but not without some relevance to what we're discussing (again IMO). This is my last word on this topic on the list; if anyone has comments or rebuttal and wants a reply from me, please Email me off-line.
