You missed the release of Delphi 2009 - introducing native support for Unicode, Generics and Anonymous Methods (as well as DataSnap 2009). Plus Delphi Prism as one and only Delphi for .NET route now (so VCL for .NET is effectively dead, and so is IntraWeb for .NET, which was based on VCL for .NET - although IntraWeb for Win32 is alive and kicking!). You may have missed the news about the future of the Delphi compiler; basically cutting it in a front-end (potentially supporting language enhancements) and a back-end (potentially supporting more than just Win32 and shortly Win64). Let me know if you purchased any of my books from Lulu.com which may have been burned. I'll gladly send you some PDF replacements!
